Agronomy Reports Available on Pioneer GrowingPoint Web site
Jul 18, 2006 12:46 PM
Throughout the growing season, growers can log on to the Pioneer GrowingPoint Web site for timely agronomic advice from local Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., agronomists in the form of audio and video clips. Growers can find these features by logging on to www.pioneer.com/growingpoint and keying in “growing headquarters” in the search box.
The audio and video links cover topics like corn plant growth stages, soybean planting tips, seedbed preparation and effectsof frost damage on young corn plants, says Jeff Talmage, e-business coordinator for Pioneer.
The agronomy reports are made by Pioneer agronomists who are in the field every day, adds Talmadge.
Pioneer also is working with Agriculture Online (www.agriculture.com) to provide valuable tips to growers. These reports can be viewed by clicking on the “Spring Planting Video” toward the bottom of Agriculture Online’s home page.
Growers without high-speed Internet benefit from the audio version which is posted on the GrowingPoint website.
Talmadge points out that a username and password are required to gain access to the archive of agronomic reports on the GrowingPoint website.
New GrowingPoint website users can call 800-233-7333 or contact their local Pioneer sales representative to receive their username and password.
