U.S. ag exports reached a record $62.4 billion in fiscal 2005, $1 million higher than the previous record set in 2004. California is the top exporting state, selling more than $10 billion worth of ag products overseas. Iowa is second with $4 billion followed by Texas. Sales of soybeans and soy products total nearly $9 billion, the highest valued U.S. ag export category.
