Ag exports are expected to climb to a record $78 billion in fiscal 2007, surging $9.3 billion from 2006. Canada is the leading market for U.S. ag products, with exports projected to reach $13 billion in the next fiscal year. Mexico is a close second with the two countries accounting for a projected one-third of all U.S. ag exports. Ten years ago, the European Union and Japan were the leading export markets. By 2016, U.S. ag export value is projected to climb to $95 billion.
