LAND PRICES KEEP RISING

Surveys by the Federal Reserve bank districts show solid to spectacular increases in farmland values across the nation. The Minneapolis district reported a 15.5% jump in non-irrigated land prices. The Kansas City district saw a 9.2% increase in non-irrigated values. And the Chicago district recorded a 10% rise in land prices in the fourth quarter of 2005 compared to a year earlier.
