BRAZIL SOYBEAN CROP CUT

Nov 1, 2004 12:00 PM, Compiled By Greg Lamp

USDA cut its estimate of Brazil's next soybean crop by 1.5 million metric tons to 64.5 million metric tons. They say that lower prices and higher input costs would trim projected expansion of acreage there. At 64.5 million metric tons, however, the Brazilian crop would still be a new record high and would be up 22.6% over last year's crop as estimated by USDA.
