ATTITUDES ABOUT SOYFOODS HAVE IMPROVED
Nov 1, 2005 12:00 PM, Compiled By Greg Lamp
A new survey sponsored by the soybean checkoff shows that consumers have changed their views of soyfoods for the better. The survey, “Consumer Attitudes About Nutrition,” shows that 88% of respondents consider soybean oil one of the two healthiest oils, second only to olive oil.
One of the largest increases stems from consumer attitudes about hydrogenated vegetable oils, which 81% of respondents cited as somewhat or very unhealthy, up 14% over last year. A whopping 78% of respondents perceive soyfood products as healthy.
