Ethanol from Sorghum Plants

Gulf Ethanol Corp. is pushing ahead with plans to build an ethanol refinery on the Texas coast that will use a new variety of sorghum expected to thrive in that part of the country. Developed by Texas A&M, the variety grows to nearly 20 ft. and is seen as “the ideal non-food feedstock for ethanol production,” according to Gulf Ethanol officials.
